*Made in Spain, the surface of the Jade Cork mat is harvested sustainably from cork trees in Portugal. Trees are not cut down, but after the tree is 25 years old, the bark of the tree is removed. This is repeated every 9 years, with the bark regenerating in the interim - absorbing additional CO2 during this process.
*To Clean: Cork mats can be washed with soap and water then rinsed with water. Hang inside to dry. Store rolled with cork side out.

The product listing states domestic manufacture (USA) but the product packaging claims manufacture in Spain. Domestic production was one of my primary considerations in this purchase. Disappointed, but not worth the hassle to return.

I love this mat! Beautiful, perfect mix of soft and sturdy, and works great even when doused in sweat and stays in place with a lot of movement.
Haven’t tried it for hot yoga yet, but I like it! Good thickness, nicely sticky, comfy. Also looks very nice
This has been a great mat for hot yoga, before I was using the rubber mats but this mat is wonderful! I normally use a long towel now I just bring a small one to wipe off sweat from me. Not sure how long this will last but definitely makeing the switch to cork!
