Meet Ricole!

Trainings: I received my 200 Hour Hot Yoga Teacher Certification in the style of Power Yoga, from Philly Power Yoga and Thrive Pilates, under the tutelage of Colette Marie and Steve Gold. I have also obtained a 25hr Children's Yoga Teacher Certification from OM-Schooled under the tutelage of Sarah Herrington. 

Teachings: I currently teach privates, kids yoga, and adult's yoga vinyasa/power style through my own company Artistic Interpretations to Remember, LLC (Ai2R). I also teach kids yoga at The Hebrew Educational Society in Canarsie, Brooklyn.

Philosophy: My philosophy both while teaching and in life is that a real glow up comes from the inside out, always, all ways. 

Fun facts: I am a classically trained professional dancer and I started practicing yoga when I was in high school.

Meet Tiger!

Trainings: Katonah Yoga Center, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and The Studio in NYC

Teachings: virtually (hello pandemic!), at the Naumkeag Estate in Stockbridge, MA, and at Sea Pines Country Club in Hilton Head, SC. 

Style(s) of Yoga: Kripalu and Katonah 

Philosophy: Heavily rooted in Taoism, Chinese Medicine, and Sacred Geometry. In Katonah, we have three guiding principles. One, all polarities are mediated by trinity. Two, the universe has pattern, and pattern implies intelligence. Three, by virtue of repetition, there is potential for insight. 

Fun facts: Tiger is my real name, not a nickname. I graduated from New York University, where I studied politics. I am an avid home cook, and bake lots of bread. For my current passion project, I'm writing a fantasy novel.

Meet Lydia!

Teachings: Earth Walker Yoga

Philosophy: I’m all about illuminating the impact of yoga on and off the mat, and connecting back to your inner wisdom. You have the power to create the life of your dreams, but first you must rediscover your true nature, your true Self. My path of rediscovery was paved with movement, mindset shifts, and connection with Nature. That's precisely what I offer through my teachings and programs.

Fun facts: I have a degree in photography. I grew up with a love for Nature, and love to travel to see natural wonders. My first job was working at Walt Disney World.

Meet Jen!

Trainings: I trained at LL Studio (formerly Laughing Lotus NYC) for both my 200 YT and my 300 advanced YT

Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is that my job is not to change you and I don't want to. I want to help you be more fully who you already are because who you are is beautiful and amazing. My life philosophy is to laugh a lot, never take myself too seriously and help everyone I can.

Fun facts: I'm a teacher/owner of a yoga cooperative - The Connective. We're a group of teachers bringing more equity, diversity, accountability & accessibility to the yoga and fitness community. I'm a web producer by day- building and maintaining web pages for a large non-profit organization. I'm obsessed with myths - love me some Gods & Goddesses and I love to tell stories. Fun Facts: I have a puppy named Roscoe. I went completely natural and did the the big chop with my hair in October 2020. I worked in TV for 5 years. 2020 is my first year without a corporate paying job and it's liberating!

Meet Robyn!

Trainings: I'm a 500hr RYT based in Portland Oregon. I study yoga in western Massachusetts at Kripalu under the Kripalu lineage. I also study and train at The Yoga Space in NW Portland in the Ashtanga lineage.

Philosophy: I view yoga as a practical tool to attune to our awareness- to experience an intimacy with our breathing bodies. I also see the many therapeutic benefits of a yoga practice- physically , mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Yoga is the ultimate healer.

Fun Facts: I'm a Taurus with a Vata Dosha. My hobbies are photography and rituals. I'm a wellness blogger. I created a signature yoga sequence that I have synced to the moon phases. I love animals and being in nature, I feel grounded outside.

Meet Lauren (Lo)!

Teachings: I currently teach accessible classes for graduate students through the Ball State Graduate Student Wellness Initiative (GSWI). 

Style(s) of Yoga: Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Restorative, and Yin. I also have certification to teach kid's yoga classes. 

Philosophy: Health cannot be achieved without justice. Thus, I am dedicated to incorporating accessibility and social justice advocacy into my practice and teaching. Additionally, I believe being busy is not indicative of one's worth. Finding balance in life can be a difficult task, thus, I have shifted my thought process to that of maintaining harmony and accepting the ebb and flow of life. 

Fun facts:  I enjoy experimenting with foods and recipes from various cultures, I am a craft beer enthusiast, I love alternative bands (especially Young the Giant and Glass Animals), and I will soon have my PhD in counseling psychology and plan to pursue a career in pediatric psychology.

Meet Krystal!

Trainings: I spent over a decade as a student to Kelly Colln, a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) & former owner of KC Yoga Center. Later receiving my 200 hours from Kansas City Yoga Teacher Training.

Teachings: I am the Studio Owner and Lead Instructor at Free State of Mind SUP Yoga. A mobile yoga studio featuring SUP Yoga, Workplace Yoga, Neighborhood Yoga & Pop-Up Yoga Events in Lawrence, KS. I also teach at Lava Yoga, a local Hot Yoga Studio.

Meet Haley!

Trainings: When I was 16, I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate at Pure Yoga, under Kay Kay Clivio and Yogi Charu. I was one of the youngest certified yoga instructors at the time and have been teaching since. 

Teachings: I teach at Soho House in New York, as well as privates in the city and Hamptons. Currently, I teach virtual live classes through Overlly and filmed classes through BeRevolutionaire.

Fun Facts: I fell in love with movement at a young age, starting my journey at 3 years old as a dancer. Through dance I grew confidence, body awareness and have always been a lover of movement. As a teenager I was passionate about teaching dance to children and passing on my love of the art. I initially found yoga through vinyasa and was captivated with the fluidity of the vinyasa movement. It was the movement and the flow that attracted me and the stillness that keeps me coming to my mat each and every day.

Meet Nikki!

Trainings: I received my 200 hour yoga certification in Bali, Indonesia with Atman Yoga School. 

Teachings: I have my own business Oh, the Places You’ll Flow helping aspiring yogis begin their yoga practice and beginner yogis deepen their practice. I host live virtual group and private classes along with leading online classes for people to flow on their own time. 

Style(s) of Yoga: Hatha & Vinyasa. 

Philosophy: Yoga isn’t only about poses. Yoga is everywhere. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a mindset. It’s about staying grounded and finding your inner peace. It’s surrendering to what is. Through practicing yoga, you can connect to your mind, body and soul on such a deep level that you can find freedom. 

Fun Facts: I am originally from Chicago, but now I am a traveling yogi living in Southeast Asia. I am a huge foodie that thoroughly enjoys writing in cafes while trying every delectable dish (preferably dessert!). When I’m not teaching yoga, you can find me hiking in nature, singing, dancing, or playing guitar. I am a wandering soul with an ever-growing bucket list and an eternal desire to travel the world.

Meet Josie!

Trainings: I completed my training at CorePower Yoga and Lumos Yoga both in Philadelphia, PA. I taught at CorePower briefly before the pandemic began! 

Teachings: I teach live virtual yoga through my Instagram.

Style(s) of Yoga: Power/Vinyasa, Restorative, and a Yoga insured fitness class (Yoga Sculpt, HIIT yoga, it goes by a few different names).

Philosophy: My yoga/life philosophy is rooted in gratitude for the current moment and acceptance of where I am here and now. One of my favorite things to say in class is “It’s like this now.” This saying personally is so powerful to me because it roots me in the present moment. Wherever I am and whatever I’m experiencing—it’s like this. Everything is bound to change and my yoga practice helps me find peace in what life throws my way.

Fun Facts: I am a college student in Philadelphia, PA and I study Communication and Philosophy. I think being a student influences my teaching style because I really like to hone in on breath work and mental presence. I find that it helps me focus on schoolwork and eases stress.

Fun Facts: I am named after Christine in Phantom of the Opera. My dream was always to be Tinkerbell at Disney World but I’m too tall. My other dream was to be a Rockette but I’m too short. Now my dream is to be a yoga teacher and I’m living it every day :)

Meet Vanessa!

Trainings: I received my teaching credentials in 2018 and have been teaching ever since.

Teachings: Prior to Covid-19 I taught at OneNest Yoga and Lotus Soul Yoga as well as classes held at DuCret Art School in Plainfield NJ.  During these challenging times, I have transitioned to teaching virtually.

Style(s) of Yoga: Yin Yoga, Vinyasa

Philosophy: My philosophy in life is to be the energy you want to attract.  I find that this has helped me with being my authentic self as well as helping me to navigate the journey of life.  I love the arts especially poetry.  Words are powerful and yet can be so soothing to the soul.  I recently became a plant mama.  It's amazing how plants can be so therapeutic.  Life is beautiful and I embrace all the lessons and rewards it has to offer.

Fun Facts: I am the founder of BlackGirlyoga, a global community comprised of women with diverse practices of yoga and healing. BGY is dedicated to increasing the visibility of this community both in and outside of the wellness world in order to provide inspiration necessary for inclusive self-love and self-care.

Philosophy: My philosophy - which is also the name of my business and my podcast - is to "Sweat Fearlessly." To me, this means to get your workout and fitness on without worrying about what other people think or how you look while doing it. Just have fun and spend the time loving on yourself!

Fun Facts: I also teach indoor cycling, HIIT, and barre classes. Prior to the pandemic, I hosted monthly fitness "sweatworking" events in the DC Metro Area for our DMV Fitness Fam group. We introduced a diverse group of participants to local studios, hiking trails, and more. I currently host a virtual fitness professional networking group called Fit Pro Fridays, where we exchange knowledge test out ideas, and connect with other fitness professionals. In 2021, I'm starting my 50 First Hikes challenge, where I will attempt to hike 50 new-to-me trails throughout the course of the year. TL;DR: I am always on the go!

Philosophy: As a health coach, I'm very passionate in guiding individuals to be the BEST version of themselves they can be. I love holding space for others on and off the mat, being able to create a place for authenticity.  Ideally working as a community to learn from past experiences, strengthen on the present while building for the future. 

Fun Facts: As a 3x Ironman triathlete, I found yoga to prevent injury, to undo all the crazy long hours in aero and all the miles pounding the pavement.

Teachings: Live streaming yoga classes - Wise Flow Yoga  

Style(s) of Yoga: Power Flow, Gentle Flow, classes that bring heat, strength, and an opportunity to dive deeply within yourself.  

Philosophy: My teaching style brings both power movement and connection to yourself. I never miss an opportunity to ask big questions through my classes. I believe firmly that we are meant to write our stories into our mat and find our rhythm with each pose.

Teachings: After spending a long time teaching in London, I currently live in Los Angeles and primarily teach at studios in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Venice. Keep an eye out for a new studio in Santa Monica in 2021!

Philosophy: My classes are vibrant and thoughtful, and combine creative sequencing with attention to alignment. My classes are built around music and breath, which blended with spirit and laughter makes class playful and energizing. Meet Helen!

Teachings: I own and teach at Hot Dog Yoga LLC located in Pittsburgh, PA. I opened my studio in 2014.

Style(s) of Yoga: Hatha style yoga with elements of Vinyasa. Most of my students prefer a Warm setting, but I do offer a Hot yoga class for some of my ambitious students.  

Philosophy: I believe that yoga is for everyone at every age and ability. I strongly urge participants to modify and adapt each posture to suit their needs and abilities. Postures are not intended to be one size fits all. Just like an expensive suit or dress, postures should be tailored to your unique specifications. From the name of my studio, you can conclude that I am a dog lover, especially Dachshunds. My philosophy of life is the be the person that my dog believes I am. 

Fun Facts: I have 5 dogs! Three chow chows and two miniature dachshunds live with me. I am a retired mathematics and biology teacher. I have had two hip replacements in the past four years and have recovered 100% through my yoga practice. I used to participate in competitive pistol competitions and actually had my photo on the cover of a Women and Guns magazine. My husband is a writer in the gun industry and kidded that we should open a yoga studio/gun business called "Guns and Poses."
