Since 1989, Trees for the Future has been helping communities around the world plant trees. Through seed distribution, agroforestry training, and our country programs, we have empowered rural groups to restore tree cover to their lands. Planting trees protects the environment and helps to preserve traditional livelihoods and cultures for generations.
Off the Mat, Into the World (OTM) is a program that aims to inspire and guide you to find and define your purpose and become active in your local or global community in an effective, sustainable and joyful way. OTM is an educational, experiential and motivational process for those interested in conscious activism and service. We combine yoga asanas, meditation in-depth self-exploration which culminates in the formation of a group project that is real and in service to the community.

nutrients. We help children attain good health and the opportunity to lead
meaningful and productive lives. In 2010 Vitamin Angels will connect over
15 Million children in over 39 countries, including the US, with the vital
nutrients they need as a foundation for good health.
Karma Krew, it is a terrific non-profit
organization that provides
yoga based empowerment programs to underserved populations such as domestic
violence shelters, nursing homes, prisons, alcohol and drug treatment centers, homes
for abused and neglected children, and other places that serve the most
marginalized sections of our population.

Yoga
Behind Bars is a Seattle group that offers yoga to prisoners to
specifically facilitate therapeutic, conscious human development and
decrease recidivism. Our goal is to spread this learning model and to
provide a unique opportunity for rehabilitation to those in need
through compassion and devotion to the path of yoga.

Covenant
House New Jersey (CHNJ) has been serving homeless and runaway youth
since 1989 and is the largest provider in the state of services to
homeless and at-risk adolescents between the ages of 16 and 21. With
statewide programs in Newark, Atlantic City, Elizabeth, and starting
this Fall, Montclair, CHNJ offers shelter that is enriched with a
comprehensive array of supportive services that help young people to
not only stabilize their crises, but to also transition to a stable
living environment where they can continue to progress in their life's
goals.
